WineFollow (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a Shopify application designed to help merchants track customer interest in wines, producers, appellations, and vintages.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and process information when merchants install and use WineFollow.

When a merchant installs WineFollow, we may access and process:

  • Shopify store information
  • Customer identifiers provided through Shopify
  • Customer tags created by the application
  • Product and catalog information required for follow functionality
  • Usage and diagnostic data necessary to operate the app

WineFollow does not collect unnecessary personal information.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide follow and interest tracking features
  • Create and manage Shopify customer tags
  • Enable automations and integrations
  • Improve app reliability and functionality
  • Provide merchant support

3. Customer Data

WineFollow stores customer interest data through Shopify customer tags and related application data.

Merchants remain responsible for:

  • informing customers about data processing
  • obtaining any legally required consent
  • complying with applicable privacy laws and regulations

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell customer data.

We only share information with third-party services when necessary to operate the application or comply with legal obligations.

5. Data Retention

We retain data only for as long as necessary to provide the service and comply with legal obligations.

If a merchant uninstalls the application, associated data may be deleted within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect merchant and customer information.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

7. Shopify Compliance Webhooks

WineFollow supports Shopify’s required privacy webhooks, including:

  • customers/data_request
  • customers/redact
  • shop/redact

Requests related to customer privacy and data deletion are handled in accordance with Shopify requirements.
